Hello people, how do you do today?
I recently recorded and published a podcast with this same title “The Wisdom of Solomon.” It was inspired by an observation I made on Solomon’s judgment in the dispute between two prostitutes over a baby.
I observed that Solomon made a judgment based on the obvious fact that mothers have a natural compassion for their offspring. We might all know it. But the question is how many of us would remember to call forth such information when pressed with a situation as confusing as that?
Also, living in the 21st century means that such information is useless to us when we can simply order a maternity/DNA test. Technology’s objective to make life easier for man has not failed. But it might have succeeded in robbing us of more than we know. So, this facilitates my second question; is technology a surrogate for human purposes?
Technology is good. I can reach you because of technology. But what exactly is technology taking away from me and you? I am not certain as of this moment. But I choose to be careful that what is meant to serve as good doesn’t surrogate for what is purposeful.
Don’t pass on a chance to do what needs to be done when you can. Some things are too precious to be outsourced to technology. Don’t miss that evening walk. Leave that phone for a while. Talk to someone instead of watching television. Connect with the beauty of real birds and not just gosh at photographs of them.
Technology won’t advance the human race. The wisdom of Solomon will. The best inventions mimic nature. But don’t forget to be in contact with the real world.
For better understanding, listen to my podcast. Let me know what you think. Share with your friends. Become a better thinker. The Wisdom of Solomon is real.

Till we meet again.

A counter-observation: psychotically abusive mothers are a thing. And to Solomon: that which is applicable to the majority of the people does not need it to be said but reminded, yet it is the exception to the rule that causes the world so much grief. Assuming one can build greatness through a unifying law will ultimately lead to ruin. Parental abuse and social stigmatization are the core reasons for the creation of school shooters, even if they are from a well-off family. And even more comedically, it is likely there are genes tied to anti-social behavior, which is adjacent to harm towards others. Maybe technology was a holding cell, but same goes for illegal psychedelics and pornography. The bathmostat ("bathmos" = dignity, prestige self-regulation in the brain) are broken for such people, where SSRIs are designed to cure the ailment, but media oddly mislabel it as cure for depression until recent findings. SSRIs are another psychic holding cell, but what is the non-tech alternative? https://archive.ph/I3HXh https://schoolshooters.info/sites/default/files/shooters_myth_stable_home_1.15.pdf
Much of the problems related to apathy or even antipathy can only be dealt with through "rational" means (appeal to logic and personal benefit), since a rallying cry for empathy leads to extreme resistance for such troubled peoples. It might be best to assert that prestige, or in its less political form, dignity, is what the troubled need but are refused from time to time, which leads to civil instability (Turchin and Strauss-Howe both have their theories). Janne Miettinen noted that communal atomization and sexual promiscuity goes hand in hand, but it is still theoretical. To discover love in its purest form without scorn, would be the ultimate virtue. https://archive.ph/6hpAH
