Guten tag genius, welcome to October.
My first share for the month is a short essay on how to handle pressure. And I will use the analogy of the pressure cooker to hit this one.
I speak to people who are overwhelmed by the pressures they face, and I realised that one of the hardest things to do is to handle pressure and stress. Or better still, use that pressure to rise and achieve something good.
I am a Nigerian. If you ask why I had to say that, you will understand in a few seconds.
So in Nigeria, we love beans a lot. But cooking beans is stressful. A pot of beans no matter how hungry you are, cooks for a period of 45 minutes to 2 hours. This includes the consistent addition of water that tires you out. But a pressure cooker fixes that (read as 'bitcoin fixes that).
A PRESSURE COOKER SAVES THE DAY
Pressure cookers use water or another cooking liquid to cook food quickly in a sealed vessel. With the boiling liquid in the sealed cooker, an initial pressure is created. This pressure in form of trapped steam increases the internal temperature and pressure and cooks with it. This saves you time and energy.
In summary, the pressure cooker traps enough internal temperature and pressure to produce faster results.
HOW TO COOK PRODUCTIVITY
Now you know how the pressure cooker works. But how does this apply to you?
Don't let the pressure escape.
Whenever we are faced with some pressure or stress, be it internal or external, our first instincts is to let the pressure escape. But what if you build a stronger model of life, say a system, that allows you to make the most of the pressure?
Yes yes I know. You can't concentrate with all that pressure. The deal is to learn how to concentrate with all that pressure. What you need is to push your mind to the brink, and build a system.
Most of the pressure you will face is in the mind. So you need mental strength to bear it, convert it, and use it. You also need a real system model to capture your routine and activity to ensure the best results. Busyminds can help with both. Just send me a mail and subscribe
There is still a lot to say. Tune in to THREE IDEAS AND ACTIONS tomorrow to see the continuation.
Happy New Month,
