Hey, I hope you enjoyed Monday Map and that you are making improvement in your intellectual pursuit.
Fo today, I have a short note (more like quotes) to just help you through your thoughts. Let’s go.
CONSERVATIVE SPIRIT
Rationally, no woman who loses a child looks at another woman who loses two children and feels "better." For it is not the loss or gain of the other woman's child that brings pain or joy. It is that she longs for her own child. Such is the sentimental nature of humanity that helps us preserve ties. Such is the conservative spirit.
CURIOSITY AS ANTIFRAGILITY
Curiosity is antifragile, like an addiction, and is magnified by attempts to satisfy it- books have a secret mission and ability to multiply, as everyone who has wall-to-wall bookshelves knows well.
PRAGMATIC HUMAN NATURE
Human nature is pragmatic on a social scale. We don't go for the things that are best or ideal. We settle for what works and overtime, we view what works as what is best. Explanations from evolution work this way; something is good because it is functional. We see this in adaptations too. Women adapt all the time in choices of partners. They don’t necessarily marry who they love. They marry who is ready.
I hope this helps. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Maybe some women consider what is functional as ‘love’. The nuances of human behavior💁🏽♀️
