Hello there, it has been some time since my last publication, I hope you are well.
I trust that you have been curious, learning about the things that fascinates you. Today’s newsletter comes with a good challenge and a practical tip.
Do you know that there is no such thing as ‘not-curious’? Every man is curious about something. We all share a common curiosity about ourselves. We are all curious to learn something about who we are. There is a spark in a man’s eyes the moment he learns something about himself. We love to learn what we can do, what we cannot do and most especially what makes us special, no wonder we resonate a lot with literature.
The most efficient way to be curious about the world is to be curious about ourselves. It is said that every question a man asks is an answer to who he is. By noting every question you ask and every inquiry you make, you discover who you are and where your interests lie. The books you love to read, the movies you so love and the topics that bring joy to your spirit are clear indicators of the special person you are.
The practical tip that comes with learning about ourselves is knowing how to start a conversation with practically anyone. For those too shy and timid to talk with anyone under the guise of no topics for a conversation, know that every man you meet is the topic of your conversation. Draw them in with an obvious or not so obvious compliment. Commend the choice of his shirt, tell her how beautiful her handwriting is and the shoes, let them know their shoes are great. By ticking their interest and efforts, you will establish a bridge for a wonderful conversation. Trust me it works.
Do not stop there, go on to learn about them. Be curious to know why they chose that shirt. Find out if she patterned her handwriting after her mother’s. Be curious. When you are willing to learn about people, you are ready to make friends.
Send that text, make that call, acquire that friend and send me a mail to let me know if it works for you.
